Another one bites the dust

Six-term Republican Rep. Mark Foley of Florida resigned from the U.S. Congress on Friday following reports he sent sexually inappropriate e-mails to underage male congressional interns.

Foley, chairman of the House caucus on missing and exploited children, said he would resign after ABC News reported he sent messages to current and former congressional pages with references to sexual organs and acts.

Foley, who once accused the Supreme Court of "siding with pedophiles over children" was the author of the key sexual predator provisions of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, which Bush signed in July.

I guess he was an expert. Don't you love it? Yet another closeted gay conservative Republican who wooed his "base" by taking the "tough" stand on "values" issues gets caught with his pants down. Where do you think this a**hole stood on the gay marriage issue? How much hypocrisy is necessary for the deluded right wing Republican voters of this country to wake up out of their dull-witted torpor? Or can they really be continually bought by knocking a few dimes off the price per gallon to fill their Hummers?
