Open Letter to the President from the New Orleans, Times Picayune

"We heard you loud and clear Friday when you visited our devastated city and the Gulf Coast and said, "What is not working, we're going to make it right."Please forgive us if we wait to see proof of your promise before believing you. But we have good reason for our skepticism."

"all we need are 'buses, and gas'"

Interesting because

and

Ironically, these were fueled and ready to go when Nagin ordered the evacuation, but yet, he never dispatched the buses to get people out. He had the buses, the fuel, the drivers and had people collecting at the evacuation points. But he never sent the buses. Despite the plan. Oh yeah, and NAGIN did not open the superdome, the National Guard BROKE INTO the dome.

And just were exactly are the millions of meals and gallons of water that were supposedly in place within the shelters. Oh that's right, the city never put them there, but they sure did spend the federal money, I wonder on what???

THEN, later, NAGIN had the GALL to refuse schoolbuses that were available immediately instead demanding that air conditioned tourbuses be used.

I also love Nagins comment that all his city staff should be sent to Las Vegas to rest and recoup.

yeah, right.

That "letter" from the TP is as ridiculous as the reasons you posted it.
