Aaron Russo redux
Brian Ragle is a progressive blogger who has critically analyzed the main points of Aaron Russo's libertarian scarefilm "America Freedom to Facism," for which I expressed some restrained enthusiasm some weeks ago. Ragle has continued his critique, and I have to admit, I feel somewhat chastened.
"I now hate Aaron Russo for forcing me into the position of defending anything Bush has said or done. However, in the interest of outing one asshole, I am forced to aid another." -- Brian Ragle

The comments I have received from various respondents to my original piece and the others I have posted around the Net confirm that Russo is pandering to a fringe audience who refuse to actually dig into the points being made and assertions of fact being offered. I encourage you and others to do the research yourself, examine Russo's claims against fact, and decide for yourself what his real intentions are.
This movie was well researched. You have no idea how many lives were involved, the risks involved,to come to these inescapable conclusions. Remember;the real truth is neither easy to find nor what you hoped to find.
And in your inestimable courage you leave an anonymous comment?
In response to Anonymous, the movie was NOT well-researched nor was it well made. The arguments being presented are old and have been repeatedly debunked prior to even my only cursory examination of them. More to the point, I always find claims of "lone crusader for truth" to be a harbinger for a pending sales pitch.
Brian Ragle is a first rate dufus. He thinks he has rebutted Aaron Russo's film regarding the income tax, yet he is an amature, a phony, a shill. He copies and pastes tax court cases, which have no legal weight whatsoever, and then claims he has rebutted anyone's arguement. He is a very sick individual. I would very much like to break his face.
I guess that makes you a gangster Libertarian.
I can live with that. Brian wouldn't be the first communist I have ever smacked around either. Make no mistake, Brian is nothing but an government apologist. The fact that he is all over the internet having a fit over Aaron Russo's movie should tell you something. Any normal person would find something useful to do with his time. Any "normal" person is the key.
Well, Salty, perusing your blogs I can certainly tell what you are "against" but I sure had a hard time figuring out what you are "for." Nihilism, maybe?
I haven't bothered to check on continuing reactions in some time and I see they continue, even to the point of frustration on the part of so many Russo idol worshippers.
It's gratifying to see, however, that Russo's poorly made film didn't even move the needle on American awareness of the kind of politics he tries to preach. The only recent news item of note was that Wesley Snipes is yet another famous name to go the way of so many other tax protesters.
Brian Ragle is also a no-talent assbag who doesn't pay his bills and whose morals are the same as the common crackwhore.
Why is it that "anonymous" posters always lack depth of thought and fall back on personal attacks in some futile attempt to win the war of logic verses words? ...just passing though...
